Quantum Arc Records is being established as the audio arm of the press. No releases are out yet, when the first one ships, it lands here with streaming and purchase links.
Three kinds of sound
The label is built around what a book press can genuinely do well, not around chasing a chart. Each line has its own identifiers, its own channels, and its own way of getting paid.
Scores and sheet music
Notated music, sold as a PDF with a free MusicXML alongside it so a player can transpose and re-set it. Printed editions carry an ISMN, the notated-music equivalent of an ISBN. Originals and public domain works first, because both are free of clearance risk.
Ambient and score works
Long-form instrumental recordings made to sit under reading, writing, and rest. Released to the streaming services and sold as lossless downloads. Each recording carries its own ISRC, so it stays traceable for the whole of its life.
Audiobook sound
Narration, mastering, theme music, and the small cues that open and close a chapter. This is the line the press already runs, and it is the reason the label exists at all. See the audiobook catalog.
How a release gets made
The same four steps every time, whether the work is a piano score or a forty minute ambient piece.
Send the work
A demo, a score, or a finished master. Tell us who wrote it and who performed it. Those two answers are different people more often than anyone expects, and they are paid separately.
Settle the rights
Every work is original, public domain, or somebody else's. The first two are free to publish. The third needs a licence before a single note goes out, and we get that in writing first.
Register it
The composition, the recording, and the product each get their own number. Registration is what makes a stream turn into a payment instead of into money that sits unclaimed.
Ship it
Scores go to the store here and to the sheet music channels. Recordings go to the streaming services. The release lands on this page with every link on it.
Score or narrate for credit
Music release prep runs 20 credits; audiobook production coordination runs 30. Composers, narrators, and audio editors earn at Tier 3, the specialist rate.
