The card is the book

Every Quantum Arc Press card carries a code that unlocks a book. Scan the square, or type the code on our redeem page, and the book is yours to keep. The card stays yours too.

The face

The cover art of the book it unlocks, printed at full resolution on a card 2.5 by 3.5 inches, the same size as a trading card.

The code

Minted one at a time in our own system. No two cards carry the same code, and a code is never reissued.

The sleeve

Every card goes out inside 2TUFF Card Armor, a rigid sleeve that keeps the card flat and the corners sharp. It survives a pocket, a table at a fair, and a shelf.

Why people keep them

  • Redeeming does not spend the card. Claim the book, keep the card. Most codes in the world die the moment you use them. This one becomes a keepsake instead.
  • Every code is unique. They are issued one at a time and never reprinted, so no two cards in the world are the same.
  • The runs are small, and they are not sold. Cards are handed out in person, at readings and fairs, and tucked into orders. When a run is gone it is gone.
  • The art is the book's real cover. This is not merchandise wrapped around a book. It is the book's own face, small enough to keep.
  • A set means every edition. Not every title. See below.

Every edition is its own card

A translation is not a reprint. It has its own cover, its own code, and its own redeem address. The English card and the Spanish card of the same story are two separate cards, and a complete set means holding both.

The card also tells you which one you are holding without turning it over. An English card sends you to our English redeem page, and a Spanish card sends you to the Spanish one.

How to claim the book

Point your phone at the QR square on the card, or type the code on the redeem page. You will get an email with a link to the book, and a second link to any printables that go with it.

A code works once, and it does not expire. There is nothing to pay and nothing to sign up for.
